I never thought I would be the kind of person that chooses to wake up 30 minutes to an hour earlier than necessary just to:
? Watch some local news
?Journal (it’s an app I hate my handwriting)
☕️ Have a cup of coffee
??♀️ Squeeze in a workout
hopefully – before Iris wakes up.
I’ve been trying a version of calendar blocking that I used in college where I dedicate different days to specific activities and hot dang am I more productive and motivated again.
Which is a blessing because I was starting to feel overwhelmed by work on/in my business that I love doing. All because I was trying to do too much.
I used to think that the hustle until you can’t anymore method was the only way to be successful. So I would cram as many different activities into each day to try and get as much done as humanly possible, but I found that picking more than one focus activity after my essentials were done made me WAY less productive. And it wasn’t going to be sustainable.
So taking my own advice Saturday’s are for house work because I’m not nearly as focused throughout the week if my house doesn’t start clean. I’m not one of those people that can clean a different kind of space every single day.
AND Iris is headed to her grandparents today so I’m going to get so much extra stuff done.
How do you manage your schedule and are you making time for self care?
